Charges have been laid against a Belleville man, following a domestic violence call to the west end of the city Wednesday morning.
Around 10 a.m., officers arrived on scene, discovering a woman had been physically assaulted.
The suspect was also found to be in possession of controlled substances.
The suspect has been charged with assault, failing to comply with an undertaking, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and obstructing a peace officer.
The 33-year-old suspect has been held for a bail hearing.
