A Picton grocery store has again shown what partnership in action looks like by giving residents and visitors a chance to give to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation’s (PECMHF) Back the Build campaign.
Metro Inc. has announced a donation of $15,043 from the cash register round-up promotion held between July 27, 2023, and August 12, 2023. This gift brings the four-year total raised to $65,525.84. Metro Inc. has also committed to holding the same fundraiser again this summer.
In making this multi-year commitment to the PECMH Foundation, Metro builds on the local business community’s long-standing support for the PECMH Foundation. Metro’s head office and employees working at the Picton store continue to define ‘exceptional’ with their acts of kindness and leadership for this important campaign to build and equip a hospital in Prince Edward County.
The store’s summer campaign also included a barbecue for the fundraiser wrap-up. Staffed by the Picton Firefighters Association, the barbecue added $628 to the total raised.
