Assault
On April 5, 2024 at 2:13 p.m., Belleville police were called to a business on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road for a report of an assault. Police investigation determined that an employee had been assaulted by a customer and was treated for minor injuries by Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services. Samuel Kruz, 41 years old of Belleville, was arrested and charged with assault. Kruz was released on an appearance notice with a court date in May.
Continuing theft investigation
On April 5, 2024 at 5:23 p.m., Belleville police attended a business on Bridge Street East in the downtown area for a report of a theft. During the theft, the owner of the store was assaulted and suffered minor physical injuries. A person of interest was located nearby and police are looking for a second male described as white, skinny, approximately 5’5” with face and neck tattoos. The male was wearing a hoodie and a partial facing covering, possibly a bandana or toque. Police were able to recover a portion of the stolen items during their initial investigation. Police are continuing the investigation into the theft and the identity of the second person. Motor vehicle Collison
On the 6th of April at 3:59pm, Belleville Police responded to the area of North Park Street and Donald Street for a report of a two-vehicle collision. There were no injuries, yet the vehicles sustained significant damage. As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old Belleville woman was charged with Fail to Yield and issued a Provincial Offences Notice under the Highway Traffic Act.
Stolen Vehicle
Sometime between 1:00am and 9:00am on the 7th of April, a black Range Rover Sport licence plate # CVTJ 042 was stolen from a residence on Scott Dr in Belleville. Currently there are no suspects and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information regarding the theft or the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle is asked to contact Cst.
