A special event this weekend will celebrate the Royal Canadian Air Force’s 100th anniversary.
The official day was April 1 but on Sunday, 413 Wing is organizing a flag-raising ceremony and veterans parade in Trenton to commemorate the anniversary.
The parade will make its way from Centennial Park to City Hall, with a brief stop at Fraser Park sometime after 10 a.m.
Along with the flag raising, Quinte West will be bestowing the honour of the Freedom of the City.
Usually, the Freedom of the City is granted to a unit which has enjoyed a long and happy relationship with a city.
A reception for guests will follow the ceremony at 413 Wing on North Murray Street.
