Two people were arrested after OPP seized drugs and weapons in Picton.
The East Region Community Street Crime Unit, with the help of the East Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, executed a search warrant on Nery Avenue Thursday seizing a firearm, a prohibited device, ammunition and a quantity of suspected cocaine.
Thirty-four-year-old Thomas McCumber and 28-year-old Amber Rodgers, both of Prince Edward County, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition and knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon
Both accused were held for a bail hearing Friday.
