We are expecting significant snowfall today and tonight.
Hazards: Snowfall amounts near 15 cm. Peak snowfall rates of 2 cm per hour possible. Reduced visibility in heavy snow.
Timing: Beginning this morning and ending tonight. Discussion: Light snow is expected to begin this morning, but should intensify late in the afternoon or evening. The snow will taper off from west to east late tonight. This snow may have a significant impact on the evening commute in urban areas.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
