Improvements are coming to Belleville Transit’s Mobility Bus service.
Transit staff are now evaluating several new software options to allow Mobility Bus users to book appointments online instead of just by phone.
And Joe Reid, Director of Transportation and Operations Services for the city, says the new software will be able to provide important real-time information to both drivers and passengers.
“They will be able to get more robust updates on when the bus will be coming, if there are delays for whatever reason and it will allow us more flexibility and again efficiency in getting people to and from their appointments, critical health care appointments.”
A final decision on the transit software will be made in the next few weeks.
