There were some tense moments at Wednesday night’s Belleville Senators game but it wasn’t because of anything the players were doing.
A 19-year-old woman with cognitive challenges left her group suddenly and went missing.
An announcement was made in the arena and security and Senators’ staff immediately started a search.
Police located the woman in nearby Riverside Park. She was fine and returned to her group without incident.
The Belleville Police Service is thanking Senators’ staff, security personnel, and the public for helping with the search.
