Quinte Waste Solutions is offering two weeks of curbside battery collection starting next week.
Collection will take place from Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 22 on the dates corresponding with your regular collection day(s).
Dead, intact batteries including AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, 6V, & button cell batteries should be placed inside a clear resealable bag.
Put the sealed bag of batteries ON TOP of your paper’s blue box.
QWS says a small piece of masking tape should be placed on exposed terminals of 9V, 6V, and button cells.
Another curbside collection will be held in November.
Batteries can always be dropped of at the Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Depot located at 75 Wallbridge Crescent in Belleville during seasonal operating hours and the Material Recovery Facility located at 270 West Street in Trenton during regular business hours.
