Belleville police responded to 79 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on March 05, 2024 to 5 a.m. on March 06, 2024.
Domestic Assault
On March 5, 2024 at 7:20 p.m., police responded to a residence in the city’s north end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival and after speaking to the involved parties, police learned that a 39-year-old Belleville male had assaulted a 56-year-old female and caused mischief within the residence. As a result, the male was arrested and charged with assault and mischief. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service and held for bail.
Domestic Assault
On March 5, 2024 at 6:47 p.m., police responded a residence in the city’s west end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival and after speaking with the involved parties, police learned that a 28-year-old male had assaulted a 20-year-old female. As a result, the male was arrested and charged with assault. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was later released on an uUndertaking with a court date in March. The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
