The City of Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee received a rezoning application to allow an office building behind an existing business at 699 Dundas Street West, immediately to the west of Calvary Community Church.
The numbered company, representing EMS Tech Inc., is making the application in hopes to rezone the middle piece of the property from Community Facility to Employment Area to permit another building and associated parking lot.
For the parking lot, the proposed plan would have 157 spots for vehicles.
President of the company, Peter Sorensen, told the committee at its meeting on Monday that it was looking to expand its current operations.
As part of the resolution voted on by the committee, staff will take input from the public, commenting agencies and municipal departments that will be received by the Engineering and Development Services Department.
No public input was given for the application.
