The first round playoff match-ups in the Ontario Junior Hockey League are set. Now we await the dates.
The East Conference-leading Trenton Golden Hawks will play the eighth place Stouffville Spirit.
The third place Wellington Dukes will face the sixth seeded Toronto Junior Canadiens. It’s expected both local teams will open at home later this week.
Meanwhile Belleville native Trevor Hoskin wins the OJHL scoring title.
Hoskin scored two goals and two assists in Cobourg’s final game of the regular season, a 10-3 rout of the North York Rangers. That gives him 42 goals and 58 assists for an even 100 points.
It’s been quite a season for Hoskin who scored ten points in six games during the Eastern Canada Cup and was leading scorer with 12 points in six games at the World Junior A Hockey Challenge in Truro Nova Scotia.
