Saturday’s 20th annual Savour the Chill event in downtown Belleville will feature a special collaboration with the Community Development Council of Quinte
Twenty restaurants are competing in this year’s soup competition and the community is invited to grab a spoon and head downtown to try them.
CDC Quinte, a leading non-profit dedicated to promoting food security, hopes to showcase its initiatives through the event.
The organization will be selling 200 reusable travel spoons for a minimum donation of $3 at the event with proceeds going to furthering CDC Quinte’s mission.
They’ll also be accepting donations of non-perishable food and cash.
Savour the Chill runs from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 24.
