It’s been a busy week for Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue as it deals with another fire today.
Fire responded to a structure fire on York Street in Picton at around 8:45 a.m Friday morning.
A small fire was found in the roof of the property. The cause was deemed to be from the operation of a fuel-fired heating stove.
A portion of the roof was removed to extinguish the fire and damage is estimated at $10,000.
No injuries were reported.
Traffic was reopened at around 11 a.m.
