Quinte West OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating after a man was found dead following a residential fire in Quinte West.
Officers and Quinte West firefighters responded before 1 p.m. on Thursday to a home on Heron Lane in Kenron Estates.
Firefighters located a male inside the home and attempted life-saving measures.
The 60-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by Hastings County Paramedics.
A post-mortem examination is being conducted.
An investigation is ongoing with help from the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit, and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Centre of Forensic Sciences.
