A Belleville councillor has raised the possibility of a “conflict of interest” by a Quinte West councillor on the Joint Social Services Committee. Yesterday Councillor Bob Dolan asked Councillor Terry Cassidy to “disclose” the source of funding for his employer, Community Partners for Success. Dolan says he has concerns because 52-percent of the agencies funding comes from Social Services department. Councillor Cassidy says he declares an interest each meeting. Quinte West Mayor John Williams says he checked with Social Services staff ahead of the appointment and anyone with concerns should take them to the committee.
