It was a sparse crowd at the CAA Arena Wednesday night but they were treated to a back and forth entertaining game as the Belleville Senators came from behind twice to beat the AHL North Division leading Syracuse Crunch 6-5.
The game featured four lead changes with Belleville rallying from a 3-1 second period deficit.
Two recent returnees from the NHL sparked the comeback. Rourke Chartier and Zack MacKewen each scored twice.
Chartier, who also had an assist was playing in his third game with Belleville after a 34-game run with Ottawa.
Zack Ostapchuk (10th) scored the winner with 3:09 left in the third period.
Nikolas Matinpalo (2nd) also scored.
Attendance was 1768. It will likely top 4000 Friday night when the B-Sens host the Toronto Marlies.
