A third individual, wanted in connection with a home invasion, kidnapping and assault in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory has been arrested, while one additional suspect remains at large.
The Ontario Provincial Police Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad located and arrested Patrick Lennox, age 37, in Napanee. He is charged with:
- Assault with a weapon – two counts
- Kidnapping – two counts
- Forcible confinement
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Robbery with violence
- Theft under $5000
- Break and enter with intent to commit and indictable offence
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Disguise with intent
According to police, on January 28, Lennox, along with five others, is accused of breaking into a home in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory and assaulting a man inside before loading the man into a vehicle and taking him away. The victim was assaulted once more before being abandoned in a different part of the community.
The victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
Four other suspects are already in custody with a warrant out for the remaining suspect.
Ashley Cummings, age 36 of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, is wanted on the same charges.
Other than Lennox previously arrested were 41 year old Blaine Branscombe of Tyendinaga Township, 33 year old Jordan Brant of Deseronto, and 42 year old Laura Lee Leween, and 44 year old Jamie Kunkel, both from Tyendinaga Township.
