A Tyendinaga Township resident is facing impaired-related charges following a single-vehicle collision early Tuesday.
Shortly after 1 a.m., officers from Lennox and Addington OPP were dispatched to a collision at the intersection of Marysville Road and Waddingham Road, in Tyendinaga Township.
The complainant reported a vehicle had run the stop sign and crashed into a guardrail and hydro pole.
The lone male driver appeared to be intoxicated.
When police arrived on scene the driver of the vehicle had already departed, however, he was located at his residence a short time later.
As a result of the investigation, 46-year-old Alan Baker was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on February 27.
The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
