The Belleville Senators defeated the Syracuse Crunch 3-1 on Friday night, breaking the Senators’ six-game losing streak.
Angus Crookshank, Lassi Thomson, and Matt Highmore scored for the Senators.
The two teams shared a deadlocked and scoreless first period before the Sens opened scoring early in the second. The Senators quickly scored a second back-to-back goal, extending their lead. During the third, the Senators grabbed one last goal, before the Crunch finally got on the board, taking their only goal for the night.
The Sens will face the Crunch again today at 7 p.m. in both teams’ final game before the all-star break.
