Now that they’re on a nine-day All Star break, the Ottawa Senators have made roster moves that will affect the Belleville Senators as they try to break out of a six-game slide.
Goaltender Mads Sogaard has been reassigned to the B-Sens while Kevin Mandolese goes up.
Forward Roarke Chartier cleared waivers and is back with Belleville.
And prospect Oskar Pettersson will join the B-Sens and make his AHL debut this weekend in Syracuse.
Pettersson was Ottawa’s third round pick in 2022. He was a member of Sweden’s World Junior team.
Two weeks ago, Belleville had their eyes on the second place Syracuse Crunch, however, they have since fallen into a tie for sixth place with the Utica Comets.
Belleville plays at Syracuse on Friday and Saturday nights.
