First degree murder charges have been laid against multiple people in connection with a death in Quinte West in early January.
Quinte West OPP were called to a Dundas Street East motel on January 7 for a well-being check where officers found the body of 17-year-old Kiean Stoddard of Quinte West.
As a result of the investigation, OPP arrested and charged four people with first degree murder: 22-year-old Morgan Belyea and 26-year-old Steven Courneyea, both of Belleville, and 43-year-old Harold Russell and 27-year-old Aaron Ryan, both Quinte West residents.
An arrest warrant for first degree murder has been issued for 29-year-old Khadijah Courneyea of Quinte West.
The investigation continues under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
