It appears that the City of Quinte West is getting a large retail chain.
Over the last few days a sign was spotted in the shuttered building at 135 Dundas Street East, between Byron and Campbell.
JYSK is a Danish retail chain that sells furniture, mattresses, household goods, and interior decor.
They have 31 hundred stores in 51 countries, including a location in Belleville beside WalMart.
The building has been vacant for years, with the exception of it being used as a storage facility for the Quinte West Professional Firefighters Coats For Kids program.
It’s a former Dominion grocery store, Bi-Way, a Rogers Video, and a Bargain Shop.
We have contacted JYSK for a confirmation of when the store will be opening in Quinte West.
