A near perfect month of January has boosted the Trenton Golden Hawks from fifth place to third in the latest rankings by the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
The G-Hawks were 7-0-1 in the month to extend their lead in the OJHL’s East Conference to 14 points on second place Wellington.
Only the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and the Collingwood Blues of the OJHL rank higher than Trenton in the country.
The Bombers have held the top spot for 12 straight weeks.
