A man walking in downtown Belleville Wednesday was lucky to have suffered only minor injuries.
City police report a vehicle hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Pinnacle Street and Victoria Avenue shortly before 7:30 in the morning.
The driver, a 72-year-old man, was charged with making an improper turn.
