Quinte West City Council approved changes to how the Farmers’ Market will be operating for the 2024 season.
The 2024 market season will take place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning on the Victoria Day long weekend and continuing until the Thanksgiving Day long weekend.
Historically, the market has operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Farmers’ Market sub-committee made the changes due to low attendance from vendors and customers for the Wednesday market in recent years.
Signage showcasing the changed dates is expected to be released, as well as promotion through social media.
