The blaze began in a home and spread to two cottages nearby, with some outbuildings also damaged.
County Fire Chief Chad Brown
“We’re still in the investigation. We’ve been interviewing some people. We don’t believe the cause to be anything suspicious in nature. Still working through the process that we have. It’s just an unfortunate loss.”
The exact cause of the fire is not known at this time.

Brown says crews were able to save two adjacent homes, which would have caused millions more in damage.
No injuries took place.
Chief Brown added, “We are asking the public to ensure their property is maintained through the winter, so emergency services have access to your property. Snow and obstructions like trees and steep grades slow emergency response significantly.”
