On Friday night the Toronto Marlies ended Belleville’s seven-game winning streak with an 8-0 blowout of the Senators.
Sunday afternoon the B-Sens started a new winning streak with a decisive 6-2 win over the Marlies.
Belleville scored three goals in the first period and three in the third to send the majority of the sellout crowd of 4300 at CAA Arena home happy.
It was a statement game by Belleville after their loss on Friday night.

Jiri Smejkal scored twice in the third period (4th & 5th) and Egor Sokolov added a goal (11th) and two assists. Kyle Betts (1st), Josh Currie (6th) and Jacob Larsson (4th) rounded out the Senators’ scoring.
Leevi Merilainen stopped 27 shots in his first game since being recalled from the ECHL’s Allen Americans.
The B-Sens travel to Utica Wednesday night.
