Some parts of eastern and southern Ontario are under a winter storm warning ahead of a storm that could dump up to 25 centimetres of snow beginning tonight.
Environment Canada’s warning includes the Stirling, Tweed and Madoc areas and as far north as Bancroft.
The federal weather agency says that a winter storm is expected to move through the region Friday evening into Saturday morning, bringing 10 to 20 cm of heavy snow and as much as 30 cm in the Bancroft area.
Five to ten centimetres is forecast for the Belleville area with the snow changing to rain before Saturday morning as the temperature rises to plus 2.
