Stunt Driving
On January 4, 2023 at 10 p.m., Belleville police stopped a vehicle on North Front Street that was travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle also had expired licence plates. Further investigation revealed that there was no insurance on the vehicle. As a result, the 21-year-old driver who was also the registered owner of the vehicle was charged with stunt driving, operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and having expired plates. The driver was issued a summons with a traffic court date in March 2024.
Suspended Driver
On January 5, 2024 at 3:30 a.m., Belleville police stopped a vehicle on College Street West. A check of the driver confirmed he was a suspended driver. The 37-year-old driver was charged with driving while suspended and issued a summons with a traffic court date in March 2024.
