There has been an increase in building activity in Quinte West in December.
The municipality issued 40 permits with a construction value of $11.1 million last month, up from 35 permits worth $5.9 million in December 2022.
Last month’s permits included six new residential projects, one of them being a 29-unit apartment building in Trenton’s west end.
For the year, Quinte West issued fewer permits in 2023 but the construction value was up slightly.
There were 617 permits worth $145.8 million granted last year compared to 2022’s 778 permits with a value of $142.9 million.
