A quick response kept an early morning fire in Wellington from causing heavy damage Friday.
The Prince Edward County Fire Department responded to 153 Main Street in Wellington after
reports of a fire around 5 o’clock.
Flames were knocked down in about half an hour. No injuries were reported.
The exact location of the fire isn’t known but there is more than one business at that location which intersects with Belleville Street, including a laundromat and restaurant. There are boat slips there as well.
