We learned a little more about an inquiry to have additional charging stations in Belleville.
At a meeting of the City of Belleville’s Economic Development Committee, the latest update was that staff would be looking into the EV ChargeOn program offered by the province.
The grant program is accepting applications until January 31, 2024.
It offers capital funding of up to 50% – 75% through post-construction rebates.
Staff said it would be working on an application for the program.
Currently in the City of Belleville there are 20 charging units at Quinte Mall.
