There were fewer new construction plans last month in Prince Edward County than there were in November of last year.
The County’s building department reports issuing 41 building permits worth a construction value of almost $4 million last month.
However, last year 78 permits were issued in November with a value of $18.6 million.
Meanwhile, new construction activity so far this year is quite a bit less than it was in the first 11 months of 2022.
To the end of November, 711 permits were issued worth $152.5 million.
That compares with 928 permits valued at $204.9 million in the same period last year.
