Lennox and Addington OPP are investigating a two-vehicle collision in Tyendinaga Township.
Police, paramedics and Tyendinaga Township Fire Department were called to the collision just before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday on Old Highway 2 between Miltown Road and Wyman Road.
The collision was between an SUV and a sedan.
According to police, the SUV was heading east while the sedan was travelling west. Each vehicle only had one person in it.
Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles and both were sent to hospital with what police described as “major injuries.”
The road was reopened later that night.
An investigation is ongoing.
Police say they will release more details when “accurate and confirmed information becomes available.”
