A man who threatened to kill medical staff at Belleville General Hospital was arrested by Belleville police officers Tuesday afternoon.
It’s alleged the man made the threats during a phone call on a crisis intervention line.
Police responded to the hospital as a precaution and began a search for a suspect.
A 54-year-old Belleville man was arrested in the downtown without incident.
The man, who was not identified, appears at a bail hearing Wednesday.
