A Montreal resident has been charged in connection with a fail to remain collision on Highway 401 in Northumberland County.
OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in Hamilton Township just before 10:30 Saturday morning.
Following the collision, witnesses reported one of the involved vehicles headed west towards Port Hope.
Police were able to stop the vehicle without incident on the highway.
Twenty-five-year-old Amine Laib is charged with:
Dangerous operation
Fail to remain
Operate motor vehicle without insurance
Drive motor vehicle – no licence
Fail to apply or permit on becoming owner.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
