A man arrested in connection with a domestic incident in Belleville ended up in custody in Ottawa on the weekend.
Just after 5:30 Saturday morning, Belleville police responded to a 911 call from a woman who reported she was being assaulted by her partner.
The victim also told police the suspect damaged the home.
A 29-year-old Belleville man was arrested on charges of spousal assault and domestic mischief.
It was learned he also had an outstanding warrant in Ottawa for breaching a conditional sentence order.
He was transported to Ottawa where he was held in custody.
