Belleville police are investigating a hit and run that happened right by police headquarters.
A vehicle was rear-ended on College Street at Sidney Street around 1:30 Saturday morning.
The suspect fled south on Sidney Street.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer white SUV, possibly a Toyota Rav 4.
Police say it will have damage to the front end.
