A late morning fire in Trenton Sunday destroyed a garage and car and damaged an attached home.
Quinte West firefighters responded around 11:15 a.m. to a residence at 6 Loraine Avenue to
find a fully engulfed attached garage and car.
Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour and luckily no one was injured, however, OPP and Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services were called to the scene.
The house suffered significant smoke and water damage and the total damage is estimated at around $200,000.
The cause was a malfunctioning space heater located in the garage.
