Ontario Provincial Police are looking for the public’s help to locate a suspect wanted for more than two dozen offences.
The East Region Community Street Crime Unit says the OPP has investigated multiple break-ins, vehicle thefts and other property-related crimes over the past few months.
On October 10, a vehicle was taken from a Highway 41 residence in Addington Highlands.
Officers located the vehicle and arrested one individual at the scene while two other occupants fled.
A second suspect has been arrested but police are still working to locate the third person.
Tanner Sweet, 29, is wanted on charges including:
Careless storage of a firearm
Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon
Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine
Possession of property obtained by crime
Fail to comply with a probation order
He is described as 185 lbs, approximately 6’3″, with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes and has the word Sweet tattoed on his neck.
Police ask that if you see Sweet, do not approach him but contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 immediately.
Investigators are encouraging Sweet to contact a local OPP detachment and speak with officers.
