An early morning single-vehicle crash in the far eastern part of Belleville on Sunday sent a man to hospital in Kingston with serious injuries.
The collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Old Highway 2 in the area of Mitchell Road.
Belleville police continue an investigation.
Meanwhile, an elderly woman from Kitchener is in hospital in Kingston after being hit by a vehicle while walking in the area of North Front and Donald streets in Belleville around 6 o’clock Sunday evening.
City police say the 71-year-old woman’s injuries are considered life-threatening.
North Front Street around the collision scene was closed for four hours for an investigation and Belleville police are asking for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident to contact them.
