A planned power outage for the east side of Quinte West along with part of Belleville is set for Sunday.
Hydro One crews will be working on Aikens Road to upgrade local infrastructure, and as a result, power to the surrounding area will be cut while they are working.
The outage is planned to last from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will affect an area between RCAF Road and Avondale Road.
The workers will also close Aikens Road to through traffic while they work.
Residents in the area are advised to power down electronics before the outage begins, ensure mobile phones are fully charged, and avoid opening refrigerators or freezers to prevent food spoilage.
Traffic signals in the area may also be affected and drivers are reminded to treat stoplights that aren’t working as four-way stop signs.
