A Brighton man is facing theft and identity theft charges.
Northumberland OPP began investigating on September 21 after items were taken from a vehicle on Division Street North in Brighton.
A suspect was identified and recently located by an officer on patrol on Meade Street.
The accused was apprehended after allegedly attempting to evade police and resisting arrest.
Christopher Cosier, 47, is charged with:
· Theft under $5000 from a motor vehicle
· Identity theft – obtain or possess another person’s identity information
· Resist Peace Officer
The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
