Preparation is underway for 2024 budget discussions in Prince Edward County.
A draft budget will be brought to council for meetings starting December 4.
The proposed operating budget calls for a 10.7 percent tax increase.
That increase would mean an extra $109.47 for each $100,000 of residential property assessment.
On a home valued at $600,000 a 10.7 percent increase means taxes would be $6,663.10 a year.
No major capital projects are planned for next year and no long term debt would be used for new projects.
