GRANquinte, a local group of Grandmothers Advocacy network, are planning 16 days of activism to end violence against women and girls.
The Orange Campaign is planned to begin on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and will continue until International Human Rights Day on December 10.
The Orange Campaign takes place worldwide, and GRANquinte is organizing locally.
GRANquinte is calling for funding and strategies to prevent violence against women and girls, and urging people to donate to organizations supporting victims of violence.
Prince Edward County will be lighting up Shire Hall in orange during the 16-day campaign, similarly to other monuments and landmarks worldwide.
