Hospice Quinte’s Acting Executive Director is taking over the position full time.
Petra Lepage had been serving in an interim role since the departure of Jennifer May-Anderson in September.
Lepage had been the Community Hospice Manager since 2021.
Hospice Quinte’s Board of Directors says after a thorough search for a new executive director, they decided Lepage’s extensive knowledge in the field paired with her previous experience with the organization made her the ideal candidate.
Lepage holds a Masters of Science in Aging and Health and diplomas in Social Service Work and Therapeutic Recreation and has been working in the Community Support Service and Health Care sectors for over ten years.
“I am deeply honoured and excited to step into this role at Hospice Quinte and to continue the organization’s mission of providing compassionate care and support to those facing life-limiting illnesses and their families. I am very pleased to work with our dedicated volunteers, donors, staff and community partners as we collaborate together to provide palliative care and end of life support in our community and the Stan Klemencic Care Centre,” stated Lepage.
Kim Lander, president of the Hospice Quinte Board of Directors, expressed her excitement for the future. “Petra’s commitment to serving her community in various positions, her management experience and understanding of palliative care will serve Hospice Quinte well … Petra has excellent knowledge of operations here and values the importance of our volunteers.”
