Assault
On November 7, 2023 at 6:30 a.m., Belleville police attended a west end address regarding an assault. The victim reported that he was assaulted on November 6 by his roommate and suffered minor physical injuries. Police located the roommate who was arrested for assault. Himanshu Hooda, 27 years old of Belleville, was charged with one count of assault. He was released on an undertaking with a December court date.
Breach of Release Order and Fail to Comply with Probation
On November 7, 2023 at 10:15 a.m., Belleville police received a complaint at an east end residence regarding unwanted persons. Police were advised that there were several people in a residence who were not permitted to be there and they were causing a disturbance. During the investigation, police spoke to a female resident and a male that was in her company. Police learned that the 32-year-old male from Belleville was on conditions from a previous charge not to communicate with the female and not to attend that particular address. The male was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with probation. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
