5 p.m. UPDATE: Reports from scene indicate two pickup trucks collided and a male and female were pronounced dead after being extricated by Quinte West firefighters using the jaws of life.
Quinte West OPP officers are investigating a fatal vehicle collision.
The collision occurred around 4 o’clock on County Road 40 commonly known as Wooler Road Sunday afternoon.
The road in the area of Downs and Gunter Settlement roads has been closed for an investigation.
No other details are available at this time.
