A driver is facing impaired charges after Northumberland OPP received several traffic complaints regarding a tractor trailer on Highway 401 in the Alnwick-Haldimand area.
Police responded late Thursday morning, locating the westbound vehicle and conducting a traffic stop without incident.
Gursharan Bajwa, 52 of Brampton is charged with:
· Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Dangerous operation
A further 90-day Administrative Driver Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court December 6.
